A proclamation was issued by President George W. Bush on June 6, 2006, recognizing June as Caribbean American Heritage Month. CAHM is a month long celebration presented by the Columbus Caribbean Festival to celebrate the heritage and culture of the Caribbean islands in Central Ohio. During the month of June our organization will host special events highlighting Caribbean culture, which takes place outside of our annual festival.

The mission of the Caribbean Heritage Month is to celebrate Caribbean culture through various events during the same month as recognized by the United States of America.

Our vision is to bring the community together to celebrate the culture of the Caribbean islands over music, food and traditional Caribbean activities.

Our core values are:

1. Culture

2. Tradition

3. Celebration

These values are our guiding principles to ensuring we have a positive impact on our community.
